The first starship ever build by Earth. Valiant was launched by in 2067. She was hit by a magnetic storm, that swept the ship of course. The Valiant ended up crossing the Galactic Barrier. This caused two of her crewmen to develop EPS-capabilities. Her captain was forced to destroy the ship. Two hundred years later her recorder marker was recoverd by the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701).
