My strong activity avatar sources: which include Sopranos wikia.

I would like to report a problem I've recently been met with on the Sopranos wikia. User FrederickM who recently was given the admin status decided to demote me without consulting me or anything of any regard for my current status. I have been monitoring that site for well over many years since you originally promoted me many years ago. And now this person came and demoted me on the merit that I did not make edits for 3 months time. This is not commonplace in my mind. All other wikia sister projects where I am an administrator, I am currently working with over 10 administrators and they never get demoted simply due to inactivity. If someone becomes inactive, they retain their admin status but we notate that they are "currently inactive". We do not assume control of an entire wikia and demote someone immediately on this basis. I would like your assistance in regaining my adminship which was very recently stripped without consulting me and maintaining that this not happen again as I am the strongest contributor of the Sopranos wiki as can be seen by my evident contribution in the past. I would like nothing more than to retain my position as the administrator without having someone infiltrate and demote the currently established adminship without warning. I don't mind allowing this new member to join the administrative ranks but I am not fond of having my own adminship stripped solely on the basis of inactivity for months. The Sopranos Wiki is the second-most wiki for which I've actively contributed in the past and I'd prefer to retain my administrative status. I do not appreciate being removed without any prior notice solely based on inactivity. Please reinstate the status for I will be making an attempt to add further data and make for additional informational guidelines in the future. Additionally, what you see on the wikia is under surveillance by me at a systematic basis for which I do not allow vandalism or any such mishap to occur. Such incidents have not arisen since years beforehand which is why activity has been lower than usual. But I would highly appreciate not being removed from administrative status at the time. Please reinstate my status as soon as you get a chance. Thanks again. The error in this user FrederickM's method is that we do not remove administrators currently enlisted in any wikia or its sister projects. We retain all the administrative rights and allow others to join and accordingly add to the database. It's incorrect to assume that having one administrator would suffice to say be better than another. It's more proper and logical to retain all administrators who are willing to maintain their rights as opposed to strip them solely based on inactivity. I am currently participating on numerous wikia projects and none of which we demote administrators who are currently operating. Additionally, three months is nothing compared to the years of editing we have contributed. We have some administrators who have been inactive for over 2 years but still retain their administrative rights as they may choose to return to normal activity. In this case, we label them as "currently inactive" on the administrative panel and allow them to return at their own leisure. To assume control of a wikia and remove administrative rights without consulting the administrator is little more than erroneous. I've tried to report this to the wikia community database because I am highly dissatisfied with this approach. Any help in reinstating me would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance XD1! - {{SUBST:User:PrinceZarbon/sig2}} 01:42, May 10, 2015 (UTC)

  • I saw you're update about DST on Trek Tuesday. Trek Radio is giving away tickets to Destination Star Trek and I wanted to pass along information on how to win to the Trek Initiative community. Would you be interested in helping me get the word out?

  • Hi Scott/XD1. I'm Xean, regular contributor and maintainer of Trek Initiative. Very nice of you to release cool content for Trek Tuesday as you do, adds a unique special touch to STI. :)

I'd like you to know I intend to give STI a sitewide page upgrade, part of what I call Project Initiative. I've already advised Sena, and Tesseraktik also. For this project, I will be going over the site pages individually, updating them with emphasis on design, graphics, content and user accessibility; like the upgrades I've done to the Fan Fiction and Fan Club pages. I will also be adding many new pages, like Maps and Star Trek Automotive, all of which will greatly increase the size of the wiki in both page and content. I'll consider any suggestions or ideas, if you have any don't hesitate to let me know. Feel free to browse any updated pages and added content. You're welcome to join me in upgrading as well. Glad as always to be part of the Trek community and help in any way I can. Hope to see you around. XEAN (talk) 16:04, June 21, 2013 (UTC)
