Xindi-Insectoids are members of the multi-species race Xindi.
The Insectoids, like all Xindi species, have distinctive ridges on their cheek bones. They have an appearance similar to a cross between Terran grasshoppers, ants, and flys. They are gender-less and reproduce asexual. They protect their young by making a hatchery brig attached to their spaceship and shield it with the shielding if trouble arises (ENT: "Hatchery"). The Insectoid language is a clicking dialogue that is the most unique and complex of all Xindi. In fact, there are over 67 dialects of the Insectoid language.
Insectoids are quick to make decisions and are in an alliance with the Reptilians. Both species trade their technology between each other and usually agree on all decisions. The Insectoid-Reptilian alliance may have only been strained when Dolim fired on the Insectoid ship accompanying the weapon to Earth.
